About the Event

Are you thinking like a literacy instructional leader now OR are you already in the role but want to learn how to best serve teachers and students? Have you been considering making a change? Are you thinking ahead and planning now? The more prepared you are, the more confident you will show up for the coaching role. NOW is the time to get started!

As a former K-8th educator, instructional coach, literacy coach, assistant principal and current K-5th principal, I CAN HELP whether your interview is next week or if you've already been serving in this role! This workshop is for you if you know you’re 100% ready to make a change OR you’re already a literacy coach, but you're looking for a clear direction of how to best serve teachers and students in your coaching role. When I first became a coach, I realized quickly that I needed to learn HOW to coach. I began searching and learning and now I want to help you navigate the learning curve so you can show up as a confident literacy coach!

Often, most new and aspiring coaches don't realize it, but learn very quickly that there are many, many moving parts within the role of a literacy instructional leader.  Understanding the roles of literacy development, professional development planning and delivery, tiered literacy instruction (interventions, assessments, diagnostic teaching, progress monitoring, etc.), coaching cycles, leadership, & communication are critical to your success as a literacy coach!

Throughout my 16+ years as an educator, I’ve been fortunate to serve in many different support roles.  Supporting and coaching educators in growing and making a difference in students' lives is my passion! Tiered literacy instruction that moves the needle, assessment purposes and uses, and coaching protocols are the topics I get the most questions about so I’ve decided to schedule a Zoom workshop again this year specifically for new and aspiring literacy coaches.

The recorded workshop link will be emailed immediately after purchasing.  A recording and all resources will be emailed to all registrants the next day.
